Agile Resistance in Transformation

Bio:
Judith's career has included working as an IIBA certified Business Analyst for 11 years, and 3 years prior as a Quality Analyst. In the past 7 years, she has been part of organizations pursuing Agile transformation. As the Business Analyst, she has performed as a key person in leading scrum and kanban teams, preparing and managing the backlog, and coaching the teams.  This experience has given her the chance to learn and develop insights into how best teams and business partners can move into successful Agile teams.  Today, she is a consulting Agile Coach and Scrum Master.  She has worked in multiple organizations as a consultant or as a team member in banking, automotive, and insurance.  She earned her IIBA CBAP certification in 2012 and it has enhanced her career by opening doors to opportunities, providing her with a rich resource of knowledge, and encouraging others to pursue the certification for the benefits it provides professionally and personally. 

Presentation Topic:

Moving product teams and the larger organization to an Agile framework and practices can be challenging.  Change of any sort always brings obstacles and opportunities.  For organizations, multiple reasons can motivate the change such as optimizing product development and delivery and meeting the expectations of today’s customers and development professionals.  For individuals, motivation can be moving forward and refining Agile practices to follow today’s business trends and prepare for the future of work. The Business Analyst has a key role in successful transformation.  Working with Agile Coaches and Project Management is a set of skills, knowledge, and approaches that will be discussed during the presentation.  Below is an outline of the presentations and discussion for our meeting.
